Create Energy Efficient Homes And Cut Costs

We are all looking for ways to help create energy efficient homes while cutting our costs. There are numerous tips that are out there available today for you to follow. One of the first ways, is to cut your cooling costs.

As the heat rises, running your air-conditioning 24/7 is not very cost-effective, but there are steps you can take to help lower your bill considerably. Just by setting your thermostat of your central air a few degrees higher you will be able to save at least 5% of cooling costs.

If you are going to be leaving your home for over an hour set the thermostat even higher. It will only take you approximately 15 minutes to cool down when you return. Be sure that you are using a fan to help circulate the air throughout your house as well.

Also consider installing a tankless water heater. This is a great way to help reduce up to approximately 19% of your homes total energy that is consumed by heating water. Not only does it help to save space because you no longer need a storage tank, it provides the ability to deliver hot water almost endlessly.

These are just a couple quick tips that you can utilize in helping to create energy efficient homes for you. If you would like to learn more about creating your own energy, read more here.
